Ok, at some point I’m going to stop making these (actually, this one will possibly work to bypass other paywalls) but I got a few emails asking about getting past the Globe and Mail paywall.
That’s a bookmarklet, drag it on to your bookmarks toolbar and click it if you hit the Globe and Mail paywall
How it works: This one is a little different, the paywall actually blocks content based on your cookies so I had to clear them out and then redirect you back to the article (if I can). So this bookmarklet (unlike the NYTimes or LATimes one) will let you view a few articles before you have to click it again.
As always, I have nothing to do with The Globe and Mail. All trademarks are the property of their respective owners. This bookmarklet is distributed in the hope that it will be useful, but without any warranty; without even the implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

Does this clean Caches of the GM only or all of the Browser?

It clears the cookies, not the browser cache. And it applies only to the site you’re viewing when you activate the bookmarklet (eg. theglobeandmail.com). Cookies for other sites are not affected.

I’m trying to follow your code. Can you explain what the exploit does. In particular what:
for(b=”.”+location.host;b;b=b.replace(/^(?:.|[^.]+)/,”")) {
for(c=location.pathname;c;c=c.replace(//$|[^/]+$/,”")) {
document.cookie=(s2+”; domain=”+b+”; path=”+c+”; expires=”+new Date((new Date()).getTime()-1e11).toGMTString());
}
}
does.

Or you could just turn on private browsing whenever you want to read something…

Seems to be not working? When I click the bookmarklet it just brings me back to the homepage.
