My Airplane Game

Airplane game is my attempt to make a game that was simple and satisfying. Mostly just smooth flying and blowing things up.

You can download it here [exe] [ZIP] (apparently it requires Windows XP and doesn't work in Vista), it's just that one file. It requires Direct X from Microsoft. If you play games you probably already have it installed.

It's 1947, instead of ending in a clear victory, WWII left fractured warring states. You're a veteran pilot from one of them, flying the best of 1947's technology against new planes and ones left over from the world wars.

Controls

Flying Controls

You can play with either the keyboard or a joystick.

Keyboard

  • Arrow Keys
  • Up/Down - Speed up/Slow down
  • Left/Right - turn
  • Space - Shoot
  • Enter - Shoot missile which home in on targets a little

Gamepad

  • Up/Down - Speed up/Slow down
  • Left/Right - turn
  • Buttons 1 & 3 - Shoot
  • Buttons 2 & 4 - missile

Game Keys

  • P - pause
  • F1 - Help
  • F2 - Quicksave
  • F3 - Quickload

Airplane Defense

Airplane Defense is the half-sequel to Airplane Game. You can download it here [exe] [ZIP] (apparently it requires Windows XP and doesn't work in Vista)

The game is simple, hold out as long as you can. Ideally you can defend your base, but the game ends when you die. The enemies are mostly from my first plane game, but they slowly become harder.
